I was getting shivers watching his family talk on his behalf. It was sad, knowing the situation, and I wish Heath could have experienced this himself. But I'm happy he won nonetheless. RIP Heath.

Man on Wire wins for Best Documentary. I've heard spectacular reviews for the film. I might rent it some day.

LOL, I loved the magic guy. I was a bit nervous he was going to drop the statue, but thankfully he didn't.

ETA: Smile Pinki wins for Best Documentary Short Film.

I'm really loving these storybook dedications for each movie genre. I like the song that played during the action one. Anyone know the name?

ETA: Will Smith is presenting for Visual Effets.

And Ben Button wins! I seriously thought the movie was going to get shafted, but it's racking up all the technical awards. But I'm pretty confident that it'll end up losing in the major catgories.

"Whew, and boom goes the dynamite!" Will surely knows how to poke fun at himself when he accidentally makes mistakes.

Dark Knight wins for Sound Editing. Is this the first award that Slumdog has lost?

ETA: Well Slumdog won for Sound Mixing and Film Editing. I guess that makes up for the last award.

Is Slum Dog really that good with the effects? I'd have thought Dark Knight would win most of them.

At first i had Man on Wire to win, but no, i had to go and change it to Trouble The Water. Sheesh!
I was also hoping The Witness would win for short doc.

eta: I hope M.I.A is there.
