Summer Catch

I saw this last night and really enjoyed it.I am a sucker for baseball movies to begin with but at the same time it was much more than that. The classic struggle between class lines and overcoming adversity made it a great movie.

PLUS it also helped when Jessica Beil jumped into the pool with just that thin shirt on.

I've never even heard of it.
Is it a theater movie, or a rental?

I didn't watch much of it as I can't stand Matthew Lillard.

When he was in Scream (the first time I saw him in anything) I thought he was mildly amusing and his goofy character seemed to fit the movie.
Then I saw him in Dead Man's Curve (I think that's what it was called) one of about three movies where college students kills their room mate and disguise it as suicide in order to get A's for the semester. He was exacty the same in that as he was in Scream and then was the same in Summer Catch.
He is just a complete goof so I have put him on my "must not watch" list.

I so agree with you on the Matthew Lilard front. The only thing I sort-of halfway liked him in was Scooby-doo. He made a good Shaggy. For the most part, I just cannot stand to look at him. he is annoying. I do not pay to see annoying.
