I have seen the trailers and they are fantastic. I think JJ Abrams has really caught the flavor and spirit of the first series. I have been to the website also but find the trailers there a bit slow as well as the gallery.

Ah, for just one time I would take the Northwest Passage.
I was skeptical when I heard about this film, but I saw the trailer for the first time last week and now I am really looking forward to it. I am especially looking forward to Zachary Quinto (aka Sylar/Gabriel from Heroes) as Spock! I am also interested to see how they are going to work Leonard Nimoy into the story.
Oooo, counting down the days here people! My trekkie side is coming out, lol!
I am really hoping that this is good, maybe even great!! I was a little nervous when I first heard about this project because the film side of Star Trek seemed to be sliding just as much as the television side but now I can't tell you how excited I am. I am working on convincing my Dad (Trekkie dad who taught me everything, lol!!) to stop being an old man and go to one of the midnight showings.
I just got done finalizing my Mother's day plans!
The kids will be going to My mom's for the weekend so Mr. Nerd can take me to a fancy dinner
(we got a gift certificate to the best restaurant around that's been collecting dust for ages)
And then we're going to see STAR TREK!! :![]()

I generally wait for films to be released on DVD for a variety of reasons, but I just might go to the theater for this one.

My local theater (Cinemark) is going to offer ST in digital and from what someone told me at work, tickets are going fast. I am definitely going to make a trip tonight to get tickets.
Eric Bana was on the Today show yesterday looking delicious as always. He discussed his role as a Romulan leader and we heard yet again about Anne's crush on Spock (TMI Anne, TMI).
You know how Carrie Ann does that happy dance thing after someone does a really good dance on DWTS? That's what I am doing after seeing Star Trek!!!! YAY!!

I really was hoping the nearby IMAX was going to be showing it, but doesn't appear to.
I would love to see it that way.
