Love And Diane (2003)

Synopsis: An exploration of the life of Diane Hazzard, a recovering crack addict and penitent parent. Beginning with the birth of Diane's HIV-positive grandson, born to her teenage daughter, Love, the film follows the family through the riptides of parenthood, drug addiction, joblessness, and poverty, as well as the temptation to simply give up.

Wow, a 2 1/2 hour documentary. It sounds horribly depressing, but maybe not.

I saw an awesome black and white documentary about homeless drug addicts that lived in an underground train station. It was inspirational and amazing, so I guess this could be too. I certainly would want to know more about it before agreeing to sit through the whole thing.

This is a Must-Miss as far as I'm concerned.

It would have been much more preferable to see Diane Hazzard teach her daughter about birth control and suggest an abortion rather than have to go through that contrived tear jerker of a "woe is me, I am such a victim" tale.
