| How much do you pay for movies? How much do you pay, and how much do you think you should be paying? I can get into second-run movies for 7.50 including popcorn and drink, and I'm fine with that (Festival Theatres in Toronto) I can get into first-runs for 17.50 including popcorn and drink. I think I should be paying between 7 and 10 dollars, though. |

| In London we pay about $12 for first run movies. (All prices Canadian) $4-6 for second run movies and $2 for second run movies on Tuesdays. If that's what they're paying in Toronto, I imagine it's only a matter of time before we get bumped up too.

| i usually get 2 tickets for 15 bucks for first run movies, then end up giving the concession stand another 20 bucks for the two of us. it's a pricy form of entertainment. | |

| We can do 2 tickets, a large popcorn, large and small drink, for around $20. On the rare occasions we do it. I can rent first-release DVD's for $2.00 per night ![]() | |

| I normally catch the "twilight showings" which are $6.50 per ticket, regular night prices are roughly $8 each. Plus another $7 at the snack bar for a medium drink and medium popcorn.....this is per person (sadly I do the movie thing alone since I don't know anyone with the same taste as I have). The other day when I went to see Sweet Home Alabama at a 4pm show it was $13 total for me....ticket and snacks. If you wait and hit the 2nd run theaters here it's normally $2-$4 to get in depending on which one you go to. Strangely enough when I worked at a movie theater roughly 13 years ago the prices weren't THAT much different. Tickets back then were $5.50 for evening shows and you'd easily drop $5 at the snack bar for one person. Doesn't really seem that horrible when I think about it, but boyyyyyyyy do I remember people complaining even then about how expensive things there were. | |

| Re: How much do you pay for movies? Here in the midwest US we pay $8 for an adult in the evening or $6 for kids and matinees. The concession prices are outrageous! |
