I'm not sure if it was a mistranslation, but in the American "Eye", Sydney opens the story with this line "You only see what you believe" (Which aesthetically, didn't grab me) while in the Chinese "Eye", the heroine begins the movie with... "Some people say this world is ugly" and at the end of the Chinese version, when the heroine loses her sight (again), she goes on to accept the fact of being blind and ends with "I've seen everything beautiful in this world already" and she walks up to her newly found love (the Doctor, who's a cutie) and they smile looking at each other and it ends there. Also, in the original, the accident leaves everyone dead except the main protagonists. Though it was tragic (much like Titanic), I felt that was more realistic and left a stronger impact. I highly recommend the original.
