I never saw it even though I wanted to because of McDreamy. My son is a teenager so we don't see the feel good family movies much anymore.

ETA did they just announce The Rock by his real name?

Re: 80th Annual Academy Awards

Isn't it funny how people start out their career with a nickname and then suddenly switch to their real names? Instead of being introduced as "The Rock" he's now Duane Johnson. Puff Daddy has switched several times before settling on the more serious Sean Combs. It's like they finally figure out to be taken seriously you have to drop the funny names. Maybe that's why Carrot Top never made it big, he wasn't willing to use his real name .

I thought "The Rock" was presented like its his middle name these days, not the whole name.

And he is really a "star" who demanded to be part of one of those "wacky pairings". Who sends the man who used to say "Can you smell what the Rock is cooking?" up to present by himself? Oy. It's like showing Arnold delivering the awards.

Re: 80th Annual Academy Awards

It seems that the time limit is per award --- if not, then the first person accepting definitely gets the most time. That doesn't seem right because if one person accepting takes too long then the next person is screwed.
