| 80th Annual Academy Awards Nothin' else on tonight anyway, other than Big Brother. Man, anyone else see how that total idiot Samatha Harris, on the pre-show Red Carpet TOTALLY put Amy Adams on the spot by "reminding" her how many billions would be watching her tonight, just waiting for her to screw up. Nice going Sam! ABC only hires the best! And man, that intro to the show. Anyone else find it ironic that Arnie is shown as delivering the awards? A man who could never ever WIN one? ![]()

| Re: 80th Annual Academy Awards I'm glad you started this Krom. I wasn't sure if anyone would. What do you think of Jon Stewart so far? ETA: Norbit ![]() I haven't seen ANY of the movies nominated. It's either filling the gas tank or going to the movies and gas wins. |

Hey. Jennifer G presenting by herself? Where's the wacky "pairing"? Jennifer and Carson Kressley? Jennifer and Queen Latifah. Jennifer and the kid who played Webster. There's ALWAYS something... But no, not this time. Will we only be getting solos? No obligatory silly back and forth banter?

Geez. Of course you aren't. What did ya' expect us to say? ![]() Clooney is a solo too. Apparently wacky back and forth banter is not in the cards tonight. But we DO get a time wasting tribute to how wacky the Oscar broadcast has been IN THE PAST. EDIT - I spoke to soon. Anne Hathaway and Steve Carell. That's a "wacky pairing". 'Cause they have nothing in common. WACKY!!!

| Re: 80th Annual Academy Awards Maybe the swag just wasn't that good this year .ETA: Oh look, finally a pairing. Maybe the solo's were to accentuate the level of stardom. The bigger the star = no wacky pairing . |
