I was having such trouble choosing between Amy Adams (saw Enchanted on the weekend and I thought she was absolutely incredible in that role!) Nikki Blonsky (just perfect in Hairspray) and Ellen Page (I loved her in Juno)...and then Marion Cotillard wins? Oh well, guess I'll have to see her movie...

I read a couple of things this weekend that predicted Marion Cotillard would not just win the Golden Globe, but also the Oscar. I have not seen the movie, but it sounds like this was one of those cases where the technical rules of what falls into which category put someone in there that didn't really fit the "feel" of the category, and that really hurt the other nominees in the category.

I saw La Vie En Rose and Marion Cotillard's performance was absolutely amazing. The movie was wonderful, but can be a bit difficult to follow since it jumps back and forth in time quite frequently. My French is not good enough to watch it without subtitles.

She captured what I remember of Edith Piaf's heartbreaking story perfectly. The category was filled with strong performances this year, but I felt this award was well deserved.

They showed a clip of Queen Latifa being overly excited while announcing the winners. How awkward to have to tape that by yourself with no one from any of the movies or shows there.
