Kilmer to play porn star Holmes

Val Kilmer is taking on a revealing role for his next movie project.

He is set to star in the upcoming film "Wonderland," which tells the true tale of late porn star John Holmes, Variety reports.

Friends star Lisa Kudrow, Josh Lucas ("Sweet Home Alabama") and Kate Bosworth ("Blue Crush") are currently in talks to co-star in the movie, while James Cox ("Highway") has signed on for the directing chores.

The script will focus on the involvement of Holmes and his teenage lover in the murders of four people on a Los Angeles street in 1981.

Cox told Variety that Kilmer was eyed from the beginning to tackle the role of Holmes, who died of AIDS-related complications in 1988 at the age of 44.

John Holmes starred in over 2,000 porn films and his life was one of the inspirations behind the film "Boogie Nights."

Filming of "Wonderland" is set to roll next month.

Wonder if that means Lisa Kudrow will be playing a porn star. __________________ If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker. It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.
