In the mood for a movie...

I'm in the mood to watch a movie but I have NO money to rent anything and I only have basic cable.

It's been a recent change for me and I still don't know where to look for my best options. What are some of the BETTER TV channels that also show movies?

I don't know which channels you have available where you are, but as a money saving measure, I tape nearly every movie that plays on late night tv and watch them when I need to lie around and do nothing. I've seen a lot of crap this way, but I've also seen a lot of great movies that I wouldn't ordinarily have made the time for.

SureSam..... try TNT and TBS.

They're always playing some fun stuff!

If'n you were a girl I'd recommend Lifetime for some fluffy entertainment. Hee.

Yah!!! I love Lifetime it's the best channel for TV shows and movies. I also like Comedy Central and The Discovery Channel. I think I'm well rounded.

You need a little bit of everything in your life.

I'd say TNT is the best place for movies on TV.

Depending on how far your basic cable goes...FX, Comedy Channel, and ABC Family also show movies almost every night.
