| Steve Martin Surprise Wedding And for some nice celeb news for a change, Steve Martin finally married his longtime girlfriend in a suprise wedding ceremony, which seems so appropriate for Steve. I love Steve Martin, so love good news for him. ![]() CONGRATULATIONS to Steve and Anne! ![]() Quote:

| Re: Steve Martin Surprise Wedding I'm in the I Love Steve Martin fan club too, and although I'm crushed to hear he tired of waiting for me to say "yes," I'm happy he was finally able to move on. He went to my high school, and was well known for his intelligence and zany humor. He lived next door to my stepdad (by the time he was my stepdad, Steve had moved out of his parent's house), but I still remember the stories of how he painted a huge red tongue on their driveway. It sounds like he snagged a great lady, and I wish them many years of happiness. ![]() | |

| Re: Steve Martin Surprise Wedding That's too cool roses. I really like him too. One of my favorite movies of his was My Blue Heaven. It was Steve Martin at his best, much like The Jerk IMO. ![]()

| Re: Steve Martin Surprise Wedding I love Steve Martin too. What good news for a change in the celeb world. My favorite movie was the Jerk and I am still known to run around yelling "the new phone books are here" every Sept., when our new phone book gets delivered. Also loved All of Me and Parenthood and Father of the Bride. Well I love almost all his movies. The man with two brains nad pennies from heaven were my least favorites. Dirty Rotten scoundrels was also a funny one. And his album "Let's Get Small" was also a favorite of mine. Oh and I try to embarrass my daughter regularaly with my rendition of King Tut! ![]()

"I have a special purpose" ![]() And my #1 favorite multi-part one-liner ( ) ... where he's walking out of the mansion after fighting with the wife (Bernadette) proclaiming how he doesn't need anything... well, except this stapler...I need this stapler, but I don't need anything else... walk..walk...I need this ball flipper...and this stapler, but I don't need anything else! (sniff, sob)...walk...walk...And all the way out he keeps finding something else he needs til he gets to the dog, then the dog itself walks away from him. ![]()

My friends and I sing the Thermos song and quote from The Jerk all the time. One of our favorites lines, like you, is "that's all I need" as we rattle off many, many things. You just can't beat a picture of a man, standing in his robe and boxers holding a chair, flipper, tv remote, etc. ![]() ![]() | ||
