| Nancy Drew We saw this today and it was delightful! If they do a clothing line based on the wardrobe from the movie we would buy it all! The outfits on the Nancy Drew character were adorable! What a sweet movie! |

| Re: Nancy Drew Thats Julia Roberts niece (I know a lot of people hate her lol but I just love her). Emma Roberts looks to have even more promise than her "famous" aunt. I want to see this, glad to hear that it was pretty good. Heard that the little boy steals the show with a lot of his zingers. |

| Re: Nancy Drew It was just really sweet with out all the tweener trying to be skanky and talking too old and rude to adults. In fact the ones that do sort of look like the jerks in the movie. Horray for whoever made conservative dressing and manners look hip! |

| Re: Nancy Drew I read good things about it, too, along the lines of what you said, Bandy - a smart, interesting, self confident teenager who has respect for herself and the adults around her, who for once aren't all a bunch of sputtering fools. My husband took our 7-year-old to see it last week, and although it turned out to be a bit too scary for her it was a good movie for kids a little bit older.

| Re: Nancy Drew Thanks jasmar! That's exactly what I came in here to find out. Sometimes you just can't trust the movie rating system. PG can be a little too racy for 7. |

| Re: Nancy Drew It sounds like it would definitely be an improvement over some of the other movies my 8-year-old loves. Anyway, she's been begging me to take her ever since we saw the trailer during Shrek The Third, and she's not easily spooked, so I plan to take her sometime this weekend.

| Re: Nancy Drew OK, is it sad to say that I, a grown woman with no kids, wants to see this movie? I used to read all the Nancy Drew books when I was little and loved them. Have to ask, how was Emma's acting? All the reviews I've read said she's not very good in it. She looked fine in the commercials I saw. Maybe one of my nieces will go with me. I want to see it! ![]() |

| Re: Nancy Drew I am never one to ask because I always disagree with the critics. So having said that I thought she was darling. Realize the movie is meant for tweeners and probably not going to be nominated for an Oscar. It was so sweet and wholesome and both my daughters 9 and 12 loved it! The first thing they asked was can we buy it when it comes out on DVD which is always the test of how good it is for us and they were also playing Nancy Drew when they got home. Leaving little clues around the house and writing in code and stuff. I think they were also looking for secret passages in our house that was built just a couple of years ago so sorry no mystery there! |

| Re: Nancy Drew I did too! I loved those books so much! I remember watching the Hardy Boys & Nancy Drew shows on TV as well. I loved Shaun Cassidy & Parker Stevenson, lol.

| Re: Nancy Drew I took my oldest to see it today, and I would definitely recommend it for any girl age 7 and up. It's squeaky clean in spite of the PG rating, which I think was slapped on for the scenes where Nancy was in danger. Those may frighten a younger child, but it was fine for my 2nd-grader.I loved the outfits too, Bandy (though the sweater with the coloured buttons was a bit much ). I really saw the resemblance between Emma Roberts and her aunt - physically and they seem to have the same on-camera sweetness, for lack of a better word...like Julia Roberts has in movies like Pretty Woman and My Best Friend's Wedding.
