Re: Nancy Drew

Isn't this based on an old show or book?

Re: Nancy Drew

Yeah, it's based on the Nancy Drew books. Quite the popular series and, if i'm not mistaken, it was also a Tv show.

Re: Nancy Drew

I wonder if the movie will be any good, but I don't think it's worth going to the movies and watching.

Yup, Pamela Sue Martin starred as Nancy Drew...this was her pre "Dynasty" days... Was that the Aaron Spelling show she was on? It was one of those...she stayed on for a year and then quit.

Re: Nancy Drew

I took M to see this over the weekend (in the second run theater for $2!)
We loved it! I think they may have overdone Nancy just a bit - it's hard to like someone that is SO much better than everyone else at everything.

I hope they make this a series - I'd get into it. I ah mean my kiddo would lol

Yeppers... PSM was on Dynasty as the original Fallon.

I can't remember who the blonde actress was that took over for her on Nancy Drew. Hmmmm... am going to have to do my research. I'm one of the silly ones that bought the Nancy Drew/Hardy Boys dvd collection... loved that show! I can still remember being absolutely devastated when Joe's wife died.... the song "If" still makes me think of that double episode to this day.

Duxx.... there are little Nancy Drew shows that appear on tv every so often. I cannot remember the name of the actress that has been playing her, but she's been in several other shows, too. eta: ahh... just went and looked, and apparently there was only one of those shows. I've seen it a few different times and it just seemed that there were more than one. The actress is Maggie Lawson.

Re: Nancy Drew

I took my mom to see this last week. We were the oldest mother-daughter pair in the theater, plus one dad with three daughters. The theater was packed and I loved it. Nancy Drew was the first book series that my mom and I bonded over, so it was great to see it brought to life.

Also, Emma Roberts is a beautiful young lady. She did a wonderful job as Nancy.
