Watched House of Wax (1953) with Vincent Price this weekend. He never fails. This movie was originally in 3-D, yet the director was blind in 1 eye. And for the people who've seen it, yes that's a real guillotine blade being used.

Kids will love it... Adults will hate it. hahahaha. My husband and I looked over at each other about 10 minutes into it and just gave each other a look. We were restless about 20 min into it. But of course this is geared for kids, my 11 year old brother loved it.
Watched 13 Ghosts last night. The William Castle movie, not the remake. It's so fun and hokey, Mr. Castle loves his ballyhoo. I really wished I could have experienced such delights such has the buzzers in the bottoms of theatre seats during the movie "The Tingler". It makes going to see movies like that fun. At least I have the Midnight Shift, they do have a way of making films fun (when fun is needed).
Yesterday we watched I am a Cyborg and it's o.k on Netflix. Two thumbs way up. If you like laughing, I recommend it.
The Dead Zone - a really old Stephen King, but Christopher Walken was superb!
Watched here comes the boom. It was ok not great. I love UFC Fighting so I loved that part. Some of the things we are supposed to laugh at, I didn't. IMO a wait for the DVD movie.
Watched a reconstruction of what London After Midnight would have looked like. (The last known print burned up in an MGM vault back in the 60s). This is considered a lost film. The reconstruction was with lobby cards and was much better than I expected. I hope some day this shows up from a private collector.
I also got to see Nosferatu on the big screen over the weekend. Such an amazing film, with a live band! Up next on the big screen? a WHOLE bunch-o-stuff!
Starting with Addams Family Values on Friday night.
On Saturday, a horror movie marathon starts and these movies are playing on the big screen for 24 SOLID hours!
Werewolves on Wheels
Videodrome
Dead Alive (20 anniversary edition)
Possession (early Sam Neill film)
Phantom of the Paradise
The Abominable Dr. Phibes (no horror marathon is complete without Mr. Price!)
Something Wicked this way comes
The Devils
White Zombie
and An American Werewolf in London!
wrap all that up with trailers and intermissions and it's going to be a fantastic outing!
