Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?
Dark City - I have seen this before, but I remembered really liking it so I wanted to watch it again. I still think it is a very interesting movie, although it is definitely strange. I think there are a lot of more recent films that are reminiscent of it (The Matrix, The Adjustment Bureau).

No kidding! From imdb.com Quote:
Sets from the film Dark City, including rooftops, buildings and others exteriors sets, were used in this film. The rooftops that Trinity runs across at the beginning of the film are the same ones that John Murdoch runs across in Dark City.
To be fair - there is only a 1 year difference in release dates between the 2.

That is too funny, I had never heard that before. I was thinking later that Inception is also a bit reminiscent with the whole idea of implanting memories/ideas...

The previews seem to indicate that it's a comedy. Is it?
Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?
We just saw The Raven, starring John Cusack. It was pretty much what I expected it to be, but I'm a big Poe fan so I wanted to see it. We gave it a 6.5 out of 10.

Saw these last week in the theater...
Think Like A Man - HILARIOUS. Group of guys that have significant others and how the women in their lives learn to think like a man in order to get "hand" in the relationship. Based on a Steve Harvey book. Hubby and I saw it and could NOT stop laughing. Really funny, highly recommend.
Safe - Jason Statham movie... doesn't matter how bad the movie looks, I will go see it if he's in it. Typical, predictiable action flick but he's nice to look at and a couple awesome fight scenes. Plays an ex cop, ex fighter that is out for a little revenge and ends up helping an 11 year old girl who is in trouble herself in the seedy part of NYC. Better for a dvd rental.

Totally. I'm pretty sure I'd pay money to watch him read the phone book for 2 hours. LOVE him! Some men have bedroom eyes. Statham has a bedroom voice! I'm practically an evangelist for The Bank Job. I'm amazed that more people haven't seen that movie.

Sometimes I think I'm the only woman on earth who doesn't like Jason Statham. If I watch one of his movies, it is in spite of the fact that he is in it! :lol Something about him just rubs me the wrong way.
Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?
I watched "The Iron Lady" last weekend. Meryl Streep was amazing as Margaret Thatcher, but the story was strangely distant, with no real plot or purpose. I'm curious what others thought of it.
