Casino Jack - Kevin Spacey as Jack Abramoff. Very good acting and a well made movie. I thought the ending was great!! (Not just how the story ended, since we know that from the news - they took it in an interesting direction.)
Knight and Day - Considering I'm not a big Cameron Diaz fan and I can't stand Tom Cruise, I was surprised I didn't hate this movie. It is a silly, light, action movie. It was okay - a little long, and I thought the ending was odd.
The Hangover 2 - I will start out by saying that I as a general rule I hate slap-stick, raunchy comedy with a passion. A friend had to convince me to watch the original and I LOVED it. It is now the standard by which I judge comedies. This one did not live up to the original. I knew it was going to follow the formula of the original, but the problem was that it followed it so closely that there was no surprise. It also tried too hard to be shocking, which was unnecessary.
I Am Number 4 - It was okay. The special effects were very nice and not over the top, but I felt like it was missing something...
We just saw Defiance with Daniel Craig. Movies about the Germans and how the treated the Jewish people really break my heart, so this was a hard movie to watch. The fact that it's based on a true story amazes me. Talk about the human will to live...
We just saw this recently and I thought the same thing, so much so that I requested the book through the library. I'm wondering if something was lost between transition from book to movie?Quote:

I am a bit of a comic book geek and after these two offerings I am now scared what they will do with Captain America and have very little hope for the Avengers but then I always go into movies based on comic books with low expectations and some mange to surprize me
Inception. Love Leonardo DiCaprio but could not watch anymore than the first 30 minutes of this movie. Too confusing!
Morning Glory - It was cute but it seemed to be missing something. It tried too much to be like Broadcast News, which IMHO is one of a kind. We all need an Albert Brooks in our life.
It wasn't today, but we recently to see Mr. Popper's Penguins. Not sure it was worth the high cost of movie tickets but as a family, we enjoyed it. Jim Carey was great in it and the penguins were absolutely adorable. They each had their own personality. It's just a sweet, feel good movie with lots of laughs. And from his tweets, I guess Jim really hit it off with his feathered co-stars...lol
Bad Teacher as Cameron Diaz shed her good gal image to play a rotten teacher. Really not the teacher youwould want. Parents would not want to have a teacher that did things like disliked kids, curse, drink, you get the idea.

True Grit - Excellent!! This movie was well acted and well paced. It was also much more humorous than I expected!
Bad Teacher - we totally enjoyed it. Loads of inapproriate material for a school teacher. Overall, fun, funny, we all had a few good laughs at the OTT outrageious antics. Cameron did a great job in the role.
