Gangster: A Love Story (I mainly only watch it for Kangana, but it was a really good story with a very unexpected twist at the end)

Death Race with Jason Stathom and Joan Allen, I like every movie Jason's in.
An American Crime, its based on a true story of woman and her kids torturing and killing a girl they were supposed to be watching after. It stars Ellen Page, James, Franco, and Catherine Keenar. It was a really good movie, but just made me sick to my stomach how evil these people were.

Rented "The Majestic" from Netflix and decided to watch it while hubby was out of town. Told him on the phone that I'm hanging onto it until he gets home so he can watch it, too. Sweet story - predictable, corny, flag-waving, but utterly lovely. Wonderful cast (Jim Carrey, Martin Landau, David Ogden Stiers, James Whitmore). I really loved it.

Went and looked up the story of Slyvia Likens who the movie was based. Wow, she had it rough those few months she was living with that family. If only the neighbor had told the cops what she had witnessed she might still be alive today. It happenend in Indiana, so I'll have to ask my hubby if he heard about it as a kid.

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

I recently watched Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door which was also based on that story... it was just gut wrenching.
However, I'd be interested to see the story played out by better actors.

Went to see (500) Days of Summer today. Loved the movie. So many great scenes. I totally recommend it.
