12 Strong Based on a true story of a military mission that happend right 9/11. I wanted to like this film, the trailers looked good. I was bored. About halfway through I started looking at the time and wondering when it would be over as it was getting painful to watch.

The documentary, Icarus, on Netflix streaming about Russian sports doping and the whistle blower who was head of their testing lab. It is a fascinating piece of reality. The way Putin denied the wrong doing is the same way he now denies wrong doing in the U.S. political life as told to and repeated by D. Trump.

I think we should all read 1984 and try to understand doublethink.

Three billboards. I'm not sure what I was expecting, I was excited to see it. I don't think it needed so much profanity , but we enjoyed it, just not as much as I thought..

The Shape of Water - I didn't think I'd be crazy for this one, but it really pulled me in. Beautifully filmed and acted.

Before we begin, what are the parameters of the guessing game? How many guesses do I get? Is there a time limit?

Sometimes you just expect to so much and are let down. Some of the best movies I have seen are the ones I go into with average expectations.

I have that and I, Tonya for this weekend. I have loved most of Del Toro's films so I hope I at least enjoy this one.

Exactly. I thought 'Room' was about aliens - but even though it didn't have any aliens, it was incredible! I sat through the whole thing transfixed.

Wrinkle in Time - I had never read the book so went in with no preconceived notions. My kids and I really liked it. It is truly a kids movie. Think back to a movie that you saw as a kid that really spoke to you at the age you were when you saw it and that's the feeling of wonder and amazement and emotion that is there.
