I think we are watching the same channel at the same time these days.(Armageddon, Perfect Storm). I love Armageddon and really love the soundtrack. I start tearing up when they start singing "Leaving on a Jet Plane" and then at the end where she's staring at the blank screens and knows her dad is dead and is waiting to hear if the others are ok, that just gets me too.

Steve Buscemi is too funny in that movie. When he tells Willis that he told his daughter how to use tampons, I just about roll on the floor laughing at the reaction from both of them.
My favorite is Bear. But there are so many great people in that movie. Owen Wilson, Willis, Ben Affleck, Buscemi, Liv Tyler, Billy Bob Thornton. Just a really good overal movie in my opinion.

I started out today really motivated and took a break from some much needed organizing and what do I spy on tv but Stephen King's Storm of the Century. I really like that one and 4 1/2 hours later I finished watching it and didn't finish anything else (and we own the DVD so go figure).

I have to say that The Stand and Storm are my favorite Stephen King movies/mini-series.

And even weirder is that I had a dream about 4 nights ago in which 2 of my friends were dressed like and acting like the Linoge Character and Ralphie when the Tim Daly character spots them in SF years later. Weird and then it comes on tv today. (cue in Twight light zone music. )

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

Late last night I watched "Edward Scissorhands"....I hadn't seen that movie in a long time and I still love it as much now as I did when it first came out! Johnny Depp did a fantastic job in that role....he doesn't say alot but his expressions make you feel something......

I forgot that Rusty Griswold (Anthony Michael Hall) was in the movie tho!

Watched For the Boys with Bette Midler. I hadn't seen it in ages and really enjoyed it again. She's fabulous. Wasn't crazy about James Caan's role, but the music is great.

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

Because I Said So - absolutely dreadful. I wanted to do bodily harm to Diane Keaton's character practically the entire movie. She was a whiny, shrilly, busy body shrew. And when she started talking to her daughter about [[orgasms, I was cringing. Very uncomfortable]]. Mandy Moore is a lovely young woman but I didn't really care for her character either.

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

I just watched a really good chick flick. It's called Ten Inch Hero - that refers to the sandwich shop the principle characters work in, (not porn, get your mind out of the gutter!) If you liked Mystic Pizza (one of my all time favourite movies) you will like this movie. It's a bit corny and predictable but great for a night in, snuggled up in your fuzzy pjs and a mug of hot chocolate.
