Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

My daughter and I watched Charlie Brown's Christmas and Elf tonight. She was laughing her fool butt off any time Snoopy was on screen, she calls Elf "the Buddy movie" because that's his name in the film and he's just too big to be an elf.

I think this weekend we'll watch White Christmas or Holiday Inn.

"The Darjeeling Limited" and then "The Darjeeling Limited" again. My boyfriend came by and said "Every time that I come over, this silly movie is on". I LOVE it!!!!!!

P.S. I Love You - I liked it a lot. I didn't cry but did tear up quite a few times. I didn't see any chemistry whatsoever between Holly and Daniel so I was glad they didn't get together. But she and JDM? Get the fire hose!

I never wanted to see that movie but went ahead and rented it a while back. I cried and laughed and I normally hate girly movies. This movie made me hug my husband and tell him how much he meant to me.

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

Since last week we have watched

The Flight Before Christmas - what a bad movie. Lovely message about a single mother (reindeer) that won't tell her son who his father is - just that it's one of Santa's flying reindeer, when the son finally tracks the flying fleet down no one will 'fess up to knowing his mom or being his daddy. The reindeer sit in a bar drinking 'barley water' (with head on it!) when they aren't practicing.
There is only one funny part of the show and that's when Santa's Fleet sings

"We're reindeer/We're not horses"
We're Santa's Flying Forces/HO HO" with accompanying dance.

Elf
Charlie Brown's Christmas
Shrek the Halls
Santa Baby
White Christmas (mom this is an antique movie! when will it get to the good part??)
Santa Clause 2 & 3 (#3 about 4 times)
Suess's Grinch (17 times!)
Jim Carrey's Grinch
Frosty The Snowman
Frosty Returns
Rudolph

that's all I can remember at the moment

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

I'm glad you posted your thoughts on the movie Gut. I thought it looked like it might be good but I didn't want to spend the $11 to go see it.

Re: What Films Did You Watch Today?

Go to rottentomatoes.com - it got panned, and rightly so. I was expecting something really intriguing and was disappointed. My Little Sister (12) thought it was depressing.
