News of the 4th installment made me watch this one again today on On Demand. I can't get enough of Sparrow/Swan/Turner/Barbossa and clan. And yes, IMDB states that Depp has been tapped to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow as well as the return of Will Turner! I'm glad that they didn't get another actor to portray Sparrow because I really can't see anyone else playing that role. As far as I'm concerned, Depp is Cap'n Jack.

I hope for the 4th movie they focus on the story and dialog over the big special effects. I enjoyed the whole series, but I thought the first one was the best. The further they got into the series the more they focused on the blockbuster special effects. Yes it looked cool, but it lost some of the quirkiness that I loved in the first installment.

See, I think the 3rd one is my favorite. Not sure why. But I totally cannot wait for the 4th.

I found it a little hard to follow the third one; but then, it had been a while since I'd seen the first two. Maybe I should rent them and watch them all in one weekend. However, I think the first will still be my favorite. I know, I know - way to keep an open mind - NOT!

As far as Disney is concerned Johnny is Cap'n Jack and that is why they dumped a chunk of change into putting his likeness throughout Pirates of the Caribbean the ride!
