| OMG - totally forgot about The Color Purple. That was a great movie. The acting was amazing, especially considering the cast (Oprah and Whoopi - who knew?)

We must have been separated at birth. Me too. The tears start flowing when Bonnie Butler dies. By the time Melanie dies, I'm a basket case. Subsequent readings don't prevent the tears, either; I just know at which point to grab the Kleenex box. Back on topic: the movie made me cry too. So did (or does) Beauty and the Beast, Bambi, Dumbo and The Lion King. I simply CANNOT watch movies about animals dying - even cartoons. Just thinking about "Old Yeller" and "Black Beauty" makes me tear up ... I am such a wuss.

| Movies that have made me cry...too many to count but here's an old one and a new one that come to mind. Ice Castles - for some reason every time I have watched this I sob like a baby.Return of the King - the line about the Hobbits bowing to no one just sucked me dry. I was sobbing to the point that I didn't even try to hide it. Good thing everyone else in my group was crying too. |

| I just remembered another one. The Prince of Egypt. I really hate the part where Moses's mother puts the basket with him inside in the river. Makes me cry every time. |
