Hot Fuzz

Hysterically funny from the people who did "Sean of the Dead"
Go see it now. Timothy Dalton is excellent as the sleazy slimy supermarket manager. Simon Pegg - well what can I say? Nick Frost - what a sweet dozy fantastically hilarious guy.

That's all I have to say.

oh, except, go see it.

Re: Hot Fuzz

Very funny movie, was expecting at first a Wicker Man type plot and thinking OH NO is this how far Timothy Dalton has sunk in his career, when the movie has another twist and ends up in a great sendup of the buddy action film. [[Most guesome scence is Timonthy Dalton getting spiked.]]

Re: Hot Fuzz

I loved this movie! I was seriously laughing out loud in the theater, and I wasn't the only one! I didn't guess the entire ending which was nice. This is one to definitely buy when it comes out on DVD.

Re: Hot Fuzz

I have been going to legislative hearings lately and every time I go, someone says that whatever is being debated is "for the greater good." And then I can't stop giggling! I just hope my laugh isn't annoying, lest I wind up dead.

Re: Hot Fuzz

That would depend on your sense of humour Johnsonator. This movie could be seen as an homage to the American cop/buddy flick or it could be seen as a thumb of the nose to the American cop/buddy film. It's hilarious! I loved it but I love British humour which can be rather dry. Some of the characters are slightly 'Python-ish"
I would highly recommend it!

Re: Hot Fuzz

Yes Johnsonator, go and check it out. You wont be dissappointed. Plus you get lines like this:

[Looking at a suspicious-looking passerby]
Angel: All right, what about this guy? Ask yourself, why has he got his hat pulled down like that?
Danny: He's ****-ugly.
Angel: Or, he doesn't want you to see his face.
Danny: Yeah, it's 'cause he's ****-ugly.

Timothy Dalton was so unexpectedly delicious in this wasn't he?
The most unexpected gory bit for me was [[ When one of the steeples from the church falls upside down on the reporters head and his head just disintegrates...ick!]]

My husband drove me crazy the week after the movie answering any questions with either "yarrp" or "narrp".

By the power of Grey Skull.............

The movie actually made me homesick for England :: sigh :: just when I was getting over it..

Re: Hot Fuzz

Not as good as Shaun of the Dead, unfortunately. But still worthwhile.
