| He's mine! | Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown I'm hope it was released to expose Alec as a jacka$$, though i'm sure that's not something new. It also might help him if he actually took some responsibility and stop blaming everyone else. eta: Mav, it was released last night.

| Alec also needs to learn a little about girls that age and chill out. Some of them, seemingly overnight, go from sweet little girls to totally self-centered preteen monsters. The preteen and early teen years are an emotional (hormonal) rollercoaster and you have to learn to both set clear boundaries and pick your battles. But any kind of abuse is never an option. |

But that fact doesn't excuse Alec's treatment of his daughter, and doesn't give him the wiggle room for his actions that you were willing to give him. Had this been a screaming match between Alec and Kim.... more power to both of them. But it wasn't. | |

| Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown Given the history of all involved, I seriously doubt it was released to "protect" Ireland. A judge's courtroom, even an emergency hearing if becessary, is the place to take that.

| Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown Right. That was my point. You don't ever "protect" a child by shaming them.

| Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown I thought it was a little disturbing that during his rant he seemed to be confused about how old she is.

| Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown Well he didn't exactly go all over the board with the age. It seems more like he's forgotten whether or not her birthday has passed. Not a great moment for him, but there are far more disturbing parts of that call transcript than that.

| Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown I don't know, when my kids were home I always knew exactly how old they were.... Nowadays I admit I sometimes have to do a little math...but then probably at least as frequently I have to do that for myself as well! ![]() I heard on CNN this am that a judge has forbidden the dad to have any contact with the child until the next court date as a result of this. Also that it was released in a way that was "legal" and that they were "sure" that Ireland wanted to release it. Maybe she gave it to them directly (or with prompting from mom). If only the parents were under order to release no info that would explain both the legality and the sureness. |

| Re: Alec Baldwin's phone meltdown Broadway, I don't think there was any excuse for it, either. Calling his child names. It's disgusting. I say that, btw, with full knowledge that she may be the biggest brat in the world. It doesn't matter, though. You don't call a child rude names. They may both be bad parents, I don't know. But I know I wouldn't want Alec around any child of mine. ![]()
