Which one should win?
Gangs of New York
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
Which one should win?
LOTR, but then again, it was the only movie I watched out of the 5

I voted for LOTR: TTT...but that's the only one I've actually seen out of this list. I still loved it though!
I saw Chicago and didn't like it.
Gangs of New York was good but long and I was glad it when it ended (was going out partying)
I think it was just my mood for both of these as everyone else I know loved both of them.
Except my b.f fell asleep during Chicago-
he was snoring.
I have been going to see The Hours every weekend for a month now. Hope to see it this weekend. So, I didn't vote yet.
After the Grammys (Nora Jones winning 8)
I'm a bit put off when it comes to these award shows.
I don't think the people who are suppose to win
I watch (or tape) them even though they piss me off....
I feel better
So, where's the Cannes Film Festival being held this year?
~ Christina Aguilera
I haven't seen all the movies so I can't say which I think should win.
I think Chicago will probably get it though but I'd like to see it go to The Pianist.
I voted for LoTR: TTT......at the academy awards, I think Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers SHOULD win, but Chicago WILL win . I thought LoTR was soooo much better than chicago! it just makes me mad that the people can't vote for the academy awards....it is all political now!!
I can't really imagine a sequel winning the best picture Oscar.
I think LOTR has a better shot at Best Picture and Best Director next year when the trilogy is complete.
IIRC, there's only been one sequel to ever win Best Picture...The Godfather, Part II.
That's a good point! I think that is why LotR didn't have many nominations for The Two Towers. I hope they will win big at the academy;s next year. Especially with Chicago out of the way.I think LOTR has a better shot at Best Picture and Best Director next year when the trilogy is complete.
But I'm sure that Peter Jackson will be nominated for best director in 2004.....hopefully!
