    3-D movies

I just read over the Titanic Sequel thread and it got me wondering why Holleywood doesn't make 3-D movies anymore. With the technology they have today I bet they could make some great ones.

There is a ride at an amusement park in my neck of the woods where the seats move and the film you are watching is in 3-D. I think it's the best ride at the park

I liked when they'd poke stuff at the screen just to make you cringe. You know, actions that were completely irrelevant to furthering the plot. Hey, maybe that's why they quit making movies like that.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

Random thought: have they ever made any 3-D pornos?

    I've never seen 3-D movie.
We've seen a few Imax movies though and they seem to create some great effects with those.

3-D IMAX is incredible. I saw one once. They poured molten steel into my lap...or so it seemed.

We saw one about Cirque Du Soleil that was great.
The performers were swinging round, you felt like they were heading right for you.
We saw an undersea one about El Nino that wasn't as good in comparison and a Mount Everest one which I loved.

I saw the Everest IMAX film and loved it, too. Not 3-D, but that's probably just as well. The scale was majestic even without such gimmicky effects.

The only IMAX movie I've ever seen was a 3D underwater movie, about the kelp fields in the Pacific. It was pretty cool.

I saw Jaws 3D in the theater.
Iím haunted a little this evening by feelings that have no vocabulary and events that should be explained in dimensions of lint rather than words.

I remember the movie poster for Jaws 3-D. And the movie poster for the 3-D Friday the 13th movie, too, whichever one that was (Part 16? Part 17?).
