Who here thinks "The Departed" will win best picture?

They owe it to Scorcese since he always Gets a snub now & then.

Thought I'd bring this forward for the Oscars tomorrow night. Just wondered how many people will be watching? I'm looking forward to the pre-Oscar red carpet show the most. I love to see what the stars are wearing.

Also any predictions for the show? Here are mine...

Best picture - Little Miss Sunshine
Best director - Martin Scorcese (The Departed)
Best actor - Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland)
Best actress - Helen Mirren (The Queen)
Best supporting actor - Alan Arkin (Little Miss Sunshine)
Best supporting actress - Adriana Barraza (Babel)

The Departed was a good movie. I hate when actors try the phony Boston accent but Scorcese deserves it.

Id be amazed if Streep wins. Prada was a cute movie but Streep was not Oscar worthy in it

I think it would be a cold day in hell before Beyonce gets nominated for an Oscar; the Academy needs to maintain some credibility and actors don't really like fluff music singers invading their turf and for good reason. She is the reason I probably won't see Dreamgirls.

Credibility? What credibility?

After giving the OSCARS to the song "It's not easy outthere for a pimp"??? For supposedly being THE best song of the year???

And NOT giving the Oscars year after year to one of the best directors in the history of moviemaking? Yes, I mean Martin Scorcese.

Academy lost credibility a long time ago...

I found nothing wrong with a rap song getting an Oscar. They're a very antiquated group, very rigid. Heck, what i question is, how did Julia 'A low vera(moder)' Roberts ever got her mits on one?

"It's not easy outthere for a pimp" did not win for being the best song of the year; it won for how the lyrics, beat and rythym channeled the emotion, mood and purpose of its movie "Hustle & Flow".
THE best song of the year, is an award given out at The Grammys.

I'm pulling for "Little Miss Sunshine". Gotta love a movie that makes MY dysfunctional family look normal.

Also like to see Forrest Whitaker get the oscar.

Other than that, don't really care one way or another. I HAVE enjoyed the tv channels that have been playing oscar winning movies all weekend. I have seen several old movies that are great ones and I've recorded some of the others to watch later.

Oh, brother! There goes beyonce again with her posing. Im so sick of her but am super glad she wasn't nominated. J-hud's dress is a big mistake. She looks spacey.

Jodie Foster looks great though.
