| I'm so happy to see your post, Broadway. I have wanted to see this movie since I caught a preview right after Christmas, and now I'm thinking this is the weekend to make it happen. ![]() | |

| I second Broadway's sentiments on this movie. I went to see it this afternoon and I LOVED it. I think that it proves that Kevin Smith is totally underrated in Hollywood. He steals every scene he's in. And Timothy Olaphant proves that he needs to do something besides Deadwood - the facial hair does nothing for him. He's 100 shades of hot! I will say that I think that the marketing is totally off on this one. The trailers make it look like a big budget studio romantic comedy. It's not. It's a film about the mourning process, with a very indy feel to it. I think that the reactions to The Break Up were hurt by bad marketing that made that one look like a big studio film instead of the indy feel that it had an I hope that this film doesn't get hurt in the same way.

| I was going to see it this weekend but couldn't. Am going to try later this week. Is it something that our men folk would like? My husband loves Kevin Smith but he was put off by the "chick flick" type commercials (which of course caught my attention!). This is the type of movie I will probably love at the theater and then will buy on DVD so I can watch it for a good "girls night in"! Thanks for the reviews, ladies! |

| I think it's definitely more of a woman movie than a man movie. Kevin Smith is VERY definitely in Kevin Smith form, so if you husband loves him, that may be enough for him. I wouldn't say it's REALLY a chick flick, because there's almost more emphasis overall on male characters than the women. But it's more about emotions and relationships than it is action and intrigue, which does give it more of a woman feel. I could see some men enjoying it, but I think it depends on the man. I went to see it with a married friend whose husband LOVES Jennifer Garner. At the end, she commented that her husband would NOT like it. He's the kind of guy who only likes either Adam Sandler type comedies, or action movies.

| Agreed. I've been telling people it's a "chick flick" for simplicity's sake. There were a lot of men in our theater that were laughing hysterically at Kevin Smith, but I didn't pay enough attention to them at the end to know that it was enough to win them over as much as the women. Promise him his choice next time. ![]() |

| Done! I think it'll be a date night movie for us this weekend. I also want to see "Because I Said So" when it opens this weekend and he already has said "no" to that one. I like stupid "guy" movies, too, but every now and again, I need movies like this to make me feel good. ![]() |

| Who's the baby's daddy?! I finally saw this movie and thought it was cute...but I was confused... How did Juliette Lewis NOT know that her child was not fathered by Jennifer Garner's dead fiance? She seemed like a ditz, but not a dishonest woman...was she just confused, or was she just hoping? Usually women are aware of the men they're sleeping with, unless there's too many to keep track of. Not that I'm speaking from experience or anything... I also felt sorry for the other friend/roommate--I think played by Sam Jaeger. He was in love with her for all those years... |
