Best and Worst movies of 2006

With the end of the year just weeks away (I can't believe it), it's time once again for movie goers everywhere to weigh in on the best and worst movies of the year! Since I don't honestly remember which movies I've seen this year that I can comment on, I will wait and see what movies other people comment on and go from there.

I only saw two movies in the theater this year because I hate people in a movie theater.

Jackass Ė hey, itís Johnny and the boys, whatís not to love.

Little Miss Sunshine Ė one of the best movies Iíve ever seen. Itís got a great ensemble cast Ė Alan Arkin is incredible and Paul Dano whom Iíve never seen before just about broke my heart. Itís been a few months since I saw this but still when I think about the VW Bus getting its horn stuck honking driving down the LA freeway I get a mad fit of the giggles.

Akeelah and the Bee would be my pick for my favorite movie of the year. With The Queen being a close second.

I don't see movies unless I know I am going to like them, so I don't have a bad movie to post about.

For me, I have to say this has been a fairly ho-hum and forgettable year for movies. A few decent ones, a whole lotta stupid and bad movies, but nothing that I could actually call a good movie. Hoping next year is better.

I just saw Happy Feet and I absolutely LOVED it! What a great film. I loved the music and the story was so adorable. This is definitely going into my DVD collection when it comes out!
