| That is fan-bloody-tastic. I got a great array of DVDs for Christmas: Leonard Cohen I'm Your Man - A docu-concert film celebrating the life and work of the legendary songwriter, poet, and singer. The concert itself is beautiful, featuring inspired performances from Nick Cave (my favorite), Rufus and Martha Wainwright, Antony, Jarvis Cocker, Julie Christensen, and many more. Interspersed are interview clips with Mr. Cohen, who shares stories and wisdom. The Straight Story - One of my all-time favorites and the only David Lynch film that doesn't usually frighten people. Tells the true story of Alvin Straight, an elderly man who traveled 260 miles on a riding mower to visit his estranged brother, who has recently suffered a stroke. Brazil - A Criterion Collection selection, it's a rather epic anti-totalitarian parable directed by perennial wildman Terry Gilliam of the Monty Python animations fame. I think everybody should read 1984 in their lifetime, but, if not, one should at least see this. Alice Cooper: Brutally Live - Well, I guess the title says it all. Killer riffs, katanas, and mutant babies equals five stars in my book!Morrissey: Who Put the "M" in Manchester? - Awesome, stirring homecoming concert by Mozz and the lads in 2005. Great takes of then-new material and older Smiths tunes alike. Little Miss Sunshine - Probably my favorite movie this year, a hilarious and emotional road movie that follows a dysfunctional family attempting to take their young daughter to the girls' beauty pageant referred to in the title. | |

| Snakes on a Plane The Covenant-watched this one already, surprisingly entertaining, but it was too obvious who the villain was. |
