| I saw this today with my son. I read most of the book last year but wound up skipping to the end because it was too long for me. I enjoyed the book, just wasn't in the mood to read a long novel. I did the same thing with the most recent Harry Potter and I love those books and movies. I guess my attention span is getting shorter As for the movie, I think it was pretty good. I don't see many movies in the theater anymore and I'm glad I saw it on the big screen. I think Ron Howard did a pretty good job of keeping the movie going by showing flashbacks infused into current scenes. The ending was powerful. On a sidenote, I saw a preview for a movie coming in August with Nicholas Cage called World Trade Center and I started crying just watching the previews! I didn't see the recent one that came out and probably won't see this one either, at least not until they make it to dvd. Seeing those towers was just hearbreaking. |

I saw Da Vinci Code yesterday and loved it. However, I think if I had read the book I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much. All of the "revelations" were interesting to me, but my husband already knew it all from the book so he was more focused on the storyline. p.s. I also thought that preview was extremely sad and I cried like a baby, I just think its still too early!

| I posted this in current events (because I think the issues go beyond the actual movie to politics, censorship issues, and questions about how screwed up the place in question is) but apparently the movie got banned yesterday in, of all places, CHINA. http://fansofrealitytv.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=54765

| I saw the news article as well Krom. I guess you can't really be surprised considering the way things are in China. If it could ripple waves, it's not going to be shown . Although I don't see the problem. It is after all a work of fiction. But then again, doesn't politics enter into practically everything these days? BTW. I couldn't access your posted link. It wouldn't allow me on. Yakov: Is that as in Smirnoff? Love it! I'm just starting on the book, before I see the movie. (for fun, here's another knockoff.....Da Monroe Code, starring Marilyn! ![]()

| My friend with me have seen The Da Vinci Code last month, Hmm.. the plot made me a little confused, and I think that whoever should have some religion knowledge before see the Da Vinci Code, cause that might be more easy to comperhend~ |

| ohh gosh...if you read the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown you'd probably hate the movie, usually movies that are created based on novels aren't that great =.= the Da Vinci Code was long but it was fun to watch and i guess it would be amazing when they uncover all the mysteries and the religious history behind it...it jsut came together nicely..=) overall i thot it was an ok movie..just because the novel was in more detail and had a much better..climax & ending..=) B.T.W the producer was Jerry Bruckheimer..wow..he's AMAZINGGG...you can always expect great movies and shows from him..=) |

| I went to the theatre yesterday to see this movie, I thought it was very good, even if it was a little long. Very good acting and Ron Howard did a great job keeping it moving. I don't go to movies too often because I tend to fall asleep and did catch myself nodding off a few times. |
