Wait, lobeck, I think you're right. Now you've got me convinced that Streep will win for the same reason I think Nicholson will win. I don't know. I think Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress are notoriously tough to call--the debacle with Marisa Tomei ("My Cousin Vinny"), anyone?

I think there will be at LEAST one surprise. Last year, it was the best supporting ACTOR for Jim Broadbent.

Ah, heck, if it were up to me: they would ALL go home with Oscars! Daddy loves you all!

I agree that they all deserve awards this year. Some years it's hard to justify giving it to anyone, but this year there are SO many great movies and great performances. I'm glad I don't have to choose.

For those of you that haven't seen "Far From Heaven" I highly recommend it. Great movie, great acting, and really great costumes and scenery (and I don't just meant Dennis Quaid's abs!)

I haven't seen FFH yet, but there was even some talk that Dennis Quaid might get an Oscar nomination as well. Should he have gotten one, MollyRose?

Yes I think Dennis should have gotten a nomination. Of the nominees, I've only seen Nicholson and Cage's performances and I would definitely say that Quaid was every bit as good or better than either.

Also Dennis Haysbert is fabulous and deserved a best supporting actor nod.

Okay, I admit it - I love most movies I see and end up thinking that every actor in them deserves an Oscar! (well maybe not every movie...there was "Simone" )

I think Renee is going to win for Chicago but, I'd love to see Nicole Kidman win. She got robbed with Moulin Rouge/The Others
i think so anyway.
She's a great actress.
I LOVE ED HARRIS!!
I think Daniel Day will get it though

I'm glad Richard Gere wont' be giving any speaches......he was obnoxious when he won the globe

Jack has enough and so does Caine!!

finally.....I'D LOVE to see Eminem win. He won't though....
I say:fyou to the academy.
