    I would not suggest any war movies until you are over the initial "fear factor" with your son going into the military. I personally love war movies, especially those based on historical facts. But I saw "We Were Soldiers" right after my daughter went into basic training and bawled my eyes out for two days after.
    Keep the movies upbeat and light hearted for a while, until you get used to the idea of your son being enlisted and until after you hear from him and feel relieved that he's going to be fine.
