How about Jason Isaacs (the bad guy in The Patriot and Harry Potter movies)?

I am surprised they went with Craig, in the movies I have seen him in he seemed like a character actor and not leading man material. In a few years this might make the Dalton decision look brilliant.

Lazenby.... Let me put it this way.... my wife and I still joke with 'fancy finding you here Fraulien...{bonk}'.... uber boring.
I totally agree with everything except Brosnan. Pierce Brosnan. He is the ultimate Bond for me. I would even put him above Connery because of the Never Say Never Again remake.

    Senrik, I love your avatar.

I'll watch the flicks eventually but Sean Connery was/is/will remain Bond.

Have any of the others as matter-of-factly killed or used a woman as an all too expendable shield the way Connery did? Not to mean I'm suggesting we need to kill mo.... wait a moment. Either you get what I'm saying about Connery's (or the early writing) merciless edge, or you don't.

Pierce Bronson seemed like a capable enough Bond to me.

Bad Bond?, or "Sorry Pierce, you were 6 percent under estimate, nothing personal, but see you around. Oh, be a dear and tell Daniel to come in, will you?"

Yes, I would agree with your Gerard Butler or Hugh Jackman for 007....both are sexy beyond belief!

Oh, Eric Bana would be GREAT for the part.

Gimme a piece of this man!

I can already imagine him with his Scottish drawl singing, "Bond, James Bond."

However, Clive Owens, Hugh Jackman and Eric Bana would all make great Bonds.
