    Colin Salmon???

I think he would be a great modern Bond, plus he's already been in the last couple of Bond flicks as M's assistant/bodyguard (?). Also had one of the best movie entrances in Resident Evil as the assault team leader.

Whenever I see Daniel Craig, I only picture his character Sgt. Botha in the movie, "The Power of One".

You forget, they once hired George Lazenby......

    I know..... George who???

So you see, the James Bond Casting people have been wrong before.

My personal preference would be either Clive Owen or Gerard Butler (the Phantom). They are both very sexy guys and would be perfect for Bond. David Craig is okay though. He is athletic and masculine and I have seen him be quite sexy. He is blond though and I think we tend to think of Bond as dark. I was surprised he was English. I always thought he was an Aussie.

I've been touting Clive Owen as the next Bond for the last 5 or 6 years. He is Bond. James Bond.

    Neither?
James Bond needs to be kind of like an English Gentleman meets the Brawny Guy mix. Not too muscular, but just right, and not too slick & groomed, but just right, and believably smart, too. Roger Moore, Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan were good Bonds. I didn't much like Timothy Dalton, he was too slick. Don't really know about this new Bond, but they must dye his hair dark
ps. This is just my opinion in the matter.

If I had to pick between the 2 Clive Owen is my choice. I am unfamiliar with the other guy and Owen is a great actor.

Connery was really the only Bond who did anything for me.
Moore was a little cheesy (in a dirty old man way.... but that might just be the script).
    Dalton.... boring.
    Brosnan.... too..... pretty boy.
Lazenby.... Let me put it this way.... my wife and I still joke with 'fancy finding you here Fraulien...{bonk}'.... uber boring.

hugh jackman would have been a really cool Bond...and he WOULD pull it off...

    pity...

Don't know what's up with the recent pics of this Daniel Craig guy, but he looks old and raggard...and thanks for posting the Lara Croft pic...I wouldn't have known otherwise...

Dougray Scott would have been good...

I think Orlando Bloom would have worked, but he's maybe a bit too young. He could be the next Bond (or maybe he'll be a young Bond, I've heard rumors about that) The only thing I don't want to see is an American playing Bond, sorry.

    Best to worst Bond
    Sean Connery
    Pierce Brosnan
    Roger Moore
    George Lazenby/Timothy Dalton

And then who can forget Woody Allen as "Jimmy bond" in Casino Royale? Maybe not the best (or even second best) Bond but definately remember-able.
