This MUST be an Americanized remake of the British film (based on a Nick Hornby novel) starring Colin Firth. The storylines are identical, except soccer has been replaced with baseball. Can anyone back me up on this one?

The original was pretty good, in a light-hearted, fluffy, endearing sort of way.

Yup, it's a remake with baseball replacing soccer

I saw this last night, and I really enjoyed it in that mindless entertainment kind of way. Of course, I'm a huge baseball fan so the fact that there are a fair number of baseball scenes helped.

I'm about to pop the DVD into my laptop so I can lug it all around my house while I clean tonight.

I'm a baseball fan, too, and I love seeing cities I know (like Boston) in movies. I also like Drew and Jimmy, so I think it'll be fun.
