I love most all the actors int he movie, BUT at points it seemed like Damon, Pitt, Clooney, et al., were just hamming it up amongst themselves in some sort of "I'm cooler than you," "no I'm cooler than you" contest. Blech. The middle part was so silly (you'll know what I'm talking about when you see it), it didn't seem like a "real" movie anymore. Damon was by far the best part of the movie though. He had some funny moments.
I haven't seen it yet and I suspect you're right smattynd. However, that was pretty much true of the original Ocean's 11 (rat pack variety). You could tell they were just having fun making it, in the vein of Sargeants 3 and Robin and 7 Hoods, but all three were just fun to watch.

I concur that I got the feeling this was a fun film to make for all involved. Hey I'd love to be working in an environment where everyone loved being together and laughed a good portion of the day away.

That being said, the end movie was not as engaging as I'd hoped. I think the story was too light even with the twists and turns. While I don't mind twists and turns I was not fully engaged watching this film like I was in Ocean's 11.

I found C.Zeta-Jones a good addition to the film. Makes sense that Brad Pitt's character has an old love somewhere around the world. She's got enough beauty to stand up to Brad - and that's tough to do.

I also loved G.Clooney's hair cut - only enhances his good looks.

I adored this movie simply because it was FUN. The first one was so serious and not light-hearted or easygoing at all imo. Man, I always cry at the last fountain scene in 11. In 12, I laughed and was joyful the whole time through, it was just wonderful. Loved Catherine Zeta Jones as Isabel, I loved the beginning sequence when we found out what Rusty has been doing and who he was with. The ending was so happy as well. LOVED IT!

I think they had a very difficult task with such a large cast. Miraculously, they were all given an appropriate amount of screentime, and addressed each character at some point without one being the centre of the story.

It was very different from O11, and initially, that disappointed me. It was very much a sequel and very much a 'what happens next' kind of movie. That might not work for everyone, but I enjoyed it.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

Oh and I forgot to mention, that it really is a continuation of the first. Like it's not a new movie or a new concept, it's like Miss Filangi just said, "what happened after the casino heist" not a whole new idea.

Saw Ocean's 12 and liked it. As others said, it was a good continuation of the plot, for the most part. Did not like how easy it was for the Terry Benedict character to get to all of them though. Guess the night fox helped him out with that. But did they ever explain how the Night Fox knew exactly who all had had a hand in the casino heist?

And I will never turn down a chance to watch George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac interact. They have a very easygoing camaraderie about them and it shows. Catherine Zeta Jones was o.k. in role of Isabel, but I have never really been a big fan of hers. Don't know why...she's an o.k. actress. As for Julia....she probably earned quite a bit of money for very little time on this one.

Did anyone else think they may be setting up for another sequel when they showed the Night Fox playing Benedict's gardener at the end?
I enjoy the escapism of reality television. Beats the heck out of worrying about your REAL life!!

For me, this movie was too long for the slowish plot. Catherina ZetaJones really isn't my cup of tea so I cringed in any scene with her. But overall, it was okay. I would definitely wait until video to see this one.

Can anyone tell me why George Cloony had a bandage around his throat when he was on TV last Saturday?
