Re: Last Movies You Have Rented
I've not been able to find many Bollywood movies in our local store so I wouldn't know where to start with those.
My son has been renting Japanese Horror movies this summer and is thoroughly enjoying them. I really want to see 10,000bc but he refuses to watch it with me. Stubborn kids!

How old is he? My older boys (15 & 12) enjoyed 10,000 BC.

My daughter and her boyfriend love Japanese horror movies.
10,000 BC doesn't appeal to me, but 21 does. We watch those shows on people that have been able to work the system in the casino's. It's fascinating how they were able to do that. Don't ask me the name, but I think they are on A&E or something.
I watched an oldie the other day and thought how cheesy it was and how much I liked it when it first came out in 1982 or something: Escape from New York. Apparantly my tastes have changed in the ensuing years. I still watched it, but didn't think it was the same GREAT movie that I did years ago. :)

Does anyone here have suggestions for a few good Bollywood movies? I have been interested in checking some out, but don't know where to start. I would be interested in anything fun with music and dancing.
I've only seen one Bollywood movie - Bride and Prejudice. But I really liked it so if you haven't seen it you might want to rent it. Plus it has the actor who plays Sayid on Lost in it :heart. Our On Demand has a Bollywood section but I think the last time I tried to access it, it wouldn't let me.

16 in a week. He doesn't like animated stuff unless it is from Japan.. :laugh he's quirky.

Is Monsoon Wedding Bollywood? Because I rather enjoyed that one, too.
Re: Last Movies You Have Rented
I started poking around on Netflix and found a "Best of Bollywood" category. It included a movie called "Water" that I have already seen (it was excellent!)
Water (2005)
When I wrote my original post I think my use of the term "Bollywood" was too narrow. Looking at this Netflix list I can see that it covers much more than the stereotype I had in my head when I wrote my original post. I added a few to my list and I'm looking forward to checking them out!

Just watched I Robot on tv. Wasn't expecting to really enjoy it but did find I was caught up in the story. I do like a who-dunnit! Will Smith was great as usual. Two Thumbs up. :up :up
ETA: I do wonder what eventually happened to the kitty kat! :cat
Re: Last Movies You Have Rented
I watched Penelope over the weekend (Christina Ricci with a pig nose). It's not very "deep" but it was fun. I liked Reese Witherspoon's character and thought they should have utilized her more. Catherine O'Hara was also really good as the "it's all about me" mom. My 12-yo watched it with me and also enjoyed it. It's a good family movie!

I saw Fried Green Tomatoes again yesterday. I love that movie so much!
