I still cannot get over how amazing it was. I've watched a bunch of movies lately and none with the exception of Juno held my interest. This movie totally captivated me. I was aboslutely engulfed in it and the time actually flew by while I was watching. Which has NOT been happening for me lately.

    Enchanted.

I was enchanted with it. It wasn't the greatest movie ever, but it was cute. I loved how it kind of poked fun at all the fairy tales. And the scene with the curtains and her dress was hysterical!

Finally watched No Country For Old Men. Loved it, terrific acting, but was really disappointed in the non-ending. I hate loose ends.

And that Anton character was one ruthless bastard.

I finally saw Juno. Loved it! What a sweet, funny movie.
I also saw Elizabeth: The Golden Age. It was OK, nothing special unless you want to count the special effects. I love Cate Blanchett, she can play any character brilliantly.

Just watched the Darjeeling Limited. STrange but entertaining movie.

And watched half of "I"m Not There" the movie about Bob Dylan (where 6 different actors play him). It was so strange, so disjointed that I couldn't follow it and while the music was fabulous, I quit halfway through.

Re: Last Movies You Have Rented

I watched August Rush yesterday. I really liked it a lot. There were a few minutes in the middle where it was a little slow, but it picked right back up again. The character played by Robin Williams was not at all what I expected based on the previews (he was very good in this role). The kid who played the title role is able to smile with such complete joy that it really drew me into the feeling the music gave him!! Overall a very good movie.

ETA: I would have liked a bit of follow-up at the end. I wanted to know what happened to the homeless kid who helped him out...

I FINALLY got to see Alvin and the Chipmunks. Since they have been favorites of mine since childhood, I did like the movie. It was not the best movie in the world, but it had me smiling and singing along.

I have Charlie Wilson's War and Lions for Lambs to watch next.

I think I forgot to come on and comment on Charlie Wilson's War. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. The banter was witty, the acting was great. I thought the ending was sad, but only because history tells us what happened next
