I was thinking of getting it and I'm glad I didn't. I'll wait until it comes to HBO or Showtime.

Definitely wait. It was a very very very very poor man's attempt at a Bourne type movie.

Chaos: Jason Statham's great to look at and it was an overall decent movie. His movies are usually very similar so if you like his others you'll love this one. It's worth watching, but not necessarily renting. I do like the somewhat twisting ending. The movie itself actually flew by really quickly.

We Own The Night. It got such lousy reviews I thought I would hate it, but it's not bad at all. Zero chemistry between Joaquin Phoenix and Eva Mendes (Joaquin looked pretty good though), and both Mark Wahlberg and Robert Duvall didn't get nearly enough screen time and so were pretty much wasted, but the pace was good and I had no trouble staying awake even though we watched it late on a weeknight.

I am Legend: I thought I wouldn't like it and that with one man, it would drag, but it didn't. I really really enjoyed it. I didn't like the ending so much. I'm much more of a sucker for a happier ending. But I did like the alternative ending. At least what I read of it . Much more suited to my tastes. I highly recommend!

Skinwalkers: It was actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I really enjoyed the tempo of the movie and it seemed to go by very quickly. I enjoy Brendan Fehr and love watching him work especially when he's a rugged "werewolf". Of course this isn't a movie for everyone, but if you enjoy more thriller type movies then I recommend renting it.

Nancy Drew: I actually thought it was really cute. It went by so quickly though. I was surprised that it was laid out as it was. It wasn't the plot I was expecting at all, but it worked. Emma Roberts plays cute really well. I would have liked to see Nancy Drew with a bit more of an edge personally. But otherwise, an all around cute little family film. More for the girls of the family though.

Just rented I Am Legend - I had seen the alternate ending online and I think I like that one better.

I also rented No Country for Old Men and Hitman but haven't seen them yet!

I really liked the idea of a Lost Boys sequel. The first one was sort of campy - and I think having Corey Feldman in it makes this one set up the same. They had the same song in it too.

Another fan of the alternate ending! That's awesome. I enjoyed it much more too.

The Invasion: Maybe I'm feeling soft towards Nicole, but I didn't think it was as bad as everyone made it out to be. It wasn't the greatest movie ever, but it definitely wasn't as big of a stinker either. I think as far as suspense goes it was lacking because the ending was slightly predictable. Oh well, it was still not as bleak.

Mr. Margorium's Wonder Emporium: Woooooooooooow, I loved it. I fell in love with it the moment I started watching it. It was wonderful. It was cute, charming, family oriented. It had such a sweet undertone throughout that one could not help but fall in love with it. It was absolutely a treat! I highly recommend it!

Martian Child: Cute movie. The acting was good. I didn't LOVE it, but it was okay.

Into the Wild: Early in this movie I was thinking I was going to be bored, but then I realized it was slow because of the "character study" format. I'm spoilering this chunk of my comment since it is pertinent to the ending.
I have not read the book, but I knew the story because it was in the news at the time. By the time the movie got close to the end I was dreading it because I had grown to really like this character who had touched so many people and I knew what was going to happen him. I probably wouldn't have felt as sad if it hadn't been a true story. The fact that he was found by hunters only 2 weeks later was tragic.
Bottom line, it was a wonderful movie and I highly recommend it!!

    Casino Royale.

I love James Bond movies and I was prepared to HATE this one. I had heard the premise and the new Bond (Daniel Craig) and I just avoided it. It was on Showtime last night and we watched it and I was pleasantly surprised. I guess having low expectations made the fact that it wasn't the greatest Bond movie ever, but it wasn't the worst either, kind of tolerable.
In fact, I was actually favorably impressed by it. Not bad. I could watch Daniel Craig as Bond again.
