Arlington Road. It's one of those movies that reminds you that you don't really know who lives next door to you, and you don't really know what could be going on in that house. It did keep my attention but, once I sat back and really thought about it.......it creeped me out, big time.

Red Dragon. I'm not the scary type, but I watched this in the daytime with all of the house lights on. It was definitely good, and fairly well done. I cimbed into the middle of my bed, with the blinds fully open (may have been one of my mistakes), and sat there until the movie was over.

We watched Willow last week. This is the George Lucas movie from 1988. The special effects are not spectacular by todays standards (but they were great at the time). However, the story is just as good as it was the first time I saw it!!! I find this movie incredibly endearing and Val Kilmer is a hottie as Madmartigan!!

    I love Willow!

We finally saw Night Watch & Day Watch and I have to say, our initial reaction was "huh?" I thought they were both confusing and a little too melodramatic as opposed to matrix-y action and fighting. There wasn't enough action and FX (although the final scene in Day Watch was cool) and I thought bits of the storyline were just left hanging. I dunno - I guess I just feel let down.

Also - Casino Royale - very good. I wish I'd seen this in the theater.

Just watched Astronaut's Wife on On Demand. It's the dozenth or so time that I 've seen it but it's Johnny Depp so I had to watch it. I had forgotten about Charlize Theron's haircut in that movie. IMO, it was god-awful. Hated her with that super short cut. I like her much better with long hair.

    nice avvy nilesgirl

I liked that movie. I can't remember what she looked like in it. She could look good dressed in a trash bag.

My daughter and I rented a movie called "Wind Chill"
It was a ghost type movie and pretty good.

Then we watched one of my all time favorites (this thread actually made me want to watch it for the 50th time)

To Kill A Mocking Bird.....I LOVE Gregory Peck. What a great movie.

If you go to imdb.com and look up The Astronaut's Wife, it should have photos from the movie and you'll see her haircut.

I just saw Bride and Prejudice and loved it. Made me want to dance and eat some Indian food.

Also saw The Day After Tomorrow (2004) with Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Sela Ward. I enjoyed it more than I thought. Freaky show about a sudden Ice Age.

I loved Bride and Prejudice, especially since it has Naveen Andrews in it ! I came across it by chance on one of my digital channels. I own TDAT. I love end of the earth doomsday movies (as long as they have a happy ending!).

It's essentially an Indian-cultural take on Pride and Prejudice with some modern flair added to it. It's a great little gem of a movie.
