Ya, United 93 is an incredibe and moving film. Very hard to watch, much like The Passion of the Christ. When comparing it to another 9/11 movie, World Trade Center, in the sense of film making it is so much better. Even if it is Oliver Stone and Nicholas Cage, Greengrass brings so much more to United 93.

The Da Vinci Code: Yes, I know I'm very late in watching it, but beter late than never right? It was okay, but it had moments of being really bad. I know it's also nitpicky but I couldn't get over Tom's hair! Glad I finally saw it though.
Stranger Than Fiction: I thought it was a good movie. I like Maggie and Will and "Buster" (Arrested Development name). It was a pleasant, cute movie with enough depth to keep me interested. I'd definitely say it was a "comedy" and not a "tragedy".

I didn't really care for Stranger Then Fiction. Even my teenage son thought it was just OK.

Keeping Mum, was great. If you like British comedy check it out.
Finally, after 22 years I got my honeymoon. Niagara Falls in February. Whats next the beach in December?

Firestarter 2: I was young when the first came out, so I don't remember too much about it. This was a miniseries on USA a few years ago and I caught a few minutes of it months ago, so I thought I'd put it on my list at Blockbuster. It is almost 3 hours, but I really liked the story. Charlie is trying to find a cure, while the company is trying to track down and kill all of the previous test subjects. She has to do battle with the latest batch of children. Not great acting, but good enough. It kept my attention for the majority of the time and it was a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

The Illusionist - sorry, still like The Prestige better
Stranger Than Fiction - liked this a lot and I'm not a Will Farrell fan.
Bobby - Oh. My. God. Should be required viewing.

we watched The Pursuit Of Happyness last night and my eyes were swollen.

Loved it. Will Smith is such a great actor.

Ladder 49: I thought it was just okay. It wasn't great, but the ending was really tear jerking.
The Pursuit of Happyness:I thought it was good. It wasn't what I was expecting at all and it was really sad at times, but the ending was really uplifting.
Running Scared: Not that great, but it was good for what it was-mindless action.

Re: Last Movies You Have Rented

I rented Notes on a Scandal and Blood Diamond this weekend.

Notes on a Scandal -- INCREDIBLE acting - but I'm not sure that I ever would expect anything else from Dench and Blanchett. Working together, they were absolutely captivating. The kind of captivating that makes you not want to do a thing but watch them so you don't miss a single subtle facial expression, or anything they do. Story wise, I was pleasantly surprised to discover there was more to it than I'd expected. I enjoyed it - definitely not a waste of time!

Blood Diamond - Also not a waste of time. I enjoyed it, and I think it told a good story. But as "this is what is happening in Africa" movies go, I don't think it was anywhere near the best. Unlike several other movies dealing with the attrocities of that continent, I didn't finish this one wishing that everyone on earth would sit down and watch it NOW so we could all take action at once. The acting was very strong, and it was worth the time it took to watch it. But all that said, I'm not sure I understand quite what all the big deal was. I thought there were other much better movies in 2007.

Just rented Freedom Writers this weekend. It was OK. Corny ending. Not my favorite Hilary Swank movie, it was above average though.
