The Ninth Gate: I never saw this before and I am still trying to understand what happened. It kept my interest the entire time, but the end is left very open so I was thoroughly confused. Loved Johnny Depp and apparently Roman Pulanski married the co-star.

I saw The Illusionist recently and enjoyed it alot. Some stuff still is unexplained to me though.

Also saw Kung Fu Hustle. That was a fun movie and not at all what I expected.

Unhitched:Stuart Townsend, Amy Smart and Seth Green. I saw this as a preview for another movie. I thought it was pretty cute. ST falls for AS who is engaged to be married in one week. SG plays the best friend who decides to get him the girl at all costs. SG was adorable.

Danny Deckchair: Rhys Ifans and Miranda Otto. I had been wanting to rent this for awhile and finally got it. I LOVED this movie. Just the right mixture of comedy, romance with a slice of drama thrown in. RI plays an ordinary joe who hates his life so he fills helium balloons attaches them to a deckchair and sees where it sends him. MO plays the spinster whose yard he lands in. really sweet how they discover who they could be with each other. HIGHLY recommend this movie.

    This weekend I saw:

The Holiday: I thought it was really cute. I'd love to do a home exchange but my home is definitely not on par with the ones people would like to stay in .

Casino Royale: Loved it. The foot chase scenes are awesome.

Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny: I have only managed to get through the first 15 minutes. The movie is horrible! I am trying to finish it, but I just can't get into it. There is a lot of cursing especially the "F" word and the beginning is just so humorless. I'll try again tonight

The Heart of the Game: RENT THIS MOVIE. This is one of the best films I have ever seen in my life. It is a documentary about a girls high school basketball team and their coach. It follows the team for 6 seasons. There are some slow spots, but this movie was incredible. Be prepared to laugh, cheer and cry. I plan on buying this movie. A+++++

Keeping Mum - Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean), Maggie Smith, Kirstin Scott, and Patrick Swayze (as a seedy golf pro - not aging well at all). I loved it. If you hated Nanny McPhee - this will wipe the saccharine from your system. It's a dark comedy with a gentle nature. Nothing huge here, but I found it endearing. Plus I always did love Mr. Bean.

Rented it a few weeks ago too.. loved it and I am not an Ed Norton fan at all.

Also got Casino Roalye this week, have a love/hate going with it. I love Bond Movies but I do not like him as Bond. Judi Dench was awesome as always however.

The Illusionist - I enjoyed this, although a bit hard to follow.
The Prestige - different, but not quite as good as, The Illusionist.
Babel - Brad Pitt's Syriana, but a whole lot more boring, and I didn't think that was possible.
The Sentinel - I was prepared for the worst, but was pleasantly entertained by this one.
Unknown - I had no idea what this plot was about at all, the entire time. Backstory, people!
Idiocracy - stupid, but not quite as bad as I'd thought it was going to be.
Factotum - this one COMPLETELY sucked. Time I'll never get back.
The Devil Wears Prada - cute, with funny moments. A good time-killer movie.
Thank You For Smoking - I enjoyed this one.
16 Blocks - if you can make it through this movie, you're a better person than I am.
Prada, thats one of them, "Books better than the movie" kinda movies. I liked it but there book gave better insight to her and the cast. Slightly different story line as well. I liked the moive, but LOVED the book.

Have the Holiday, The Departed and The Prestige sitting there waiting lol. Got to love Blockbuster On-Line

I loved The Prestige and haven't seen The Illusionist yet. Will have to get right on that. Apparently a lot of people don't "get" The Prestige...hmmm. None of my kids had that problem. We rented Borat and John (somebody) Must Die. Hated them both. Ugh.
