Birth - what a strange movie. Nicole Kidman's dead husband (possibly) comes back in the form of a 10 year old boy. Overall it was decent, but the bathtub scene had me cringing....

House of Wax - Typical cheesy horror flick with the benefit of seeing Paris get killed.

I'm eagerly waiting for Serenity to come out on DVD. It's already in my queue. Go figure Fox. They cancel Firefly and keep Stacked.

I haven't yet seen Merchant of Venice. I do love classic Shakespeare and maybe for that very reason I just can't picture Al Pacino as Shylock.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory It was okay, but I liked the Gene Wilder version better.

    Okay.... *hanging head in shame*

Has anyone yet rented "The Perfect Man" with Hilary Duff and Heather Locklear? Was it a cute yet cheesy movie? I'm desperate to see how Chris Noth was in it.. and Carson Kressley.... but..

I like cheese. I hate bad cheese. Which is this movie?

Broadway, The Perfect Man is nothing. I rented Ice Princess last weekend. It was a brand new low for me.

I was tempted to at Hollywood Video but we try to limit to 2 rentals and Star Wars and Kingdom of Heaven won out.
I'll let you know if I give in to temptation.

I've already seen that one but, in my defense, I had my 10 year old niece with me who absolutely loved it. The young dark haired love interest in that one reminds me of a young Adam Garcia (of Coyote Ugly fame) which makes him immediately droolworthy for me.. although I had better give him a couple of years. Heh.

and the young blonde girl in that is the same girl that played in Racing Stripes and Ally McBeal. She's grown up to be a beauty!

(okay, see... I like cheese. )

I might as well work. I'm in a bad mood anyway.

I bought both Ice Princess (totally cried!) and The Perfect Man. I claim it's for my niece and students, but my sister and I love to watch kids movies, esp. Disney!

    Last movies rented:

The Amityville Horror-too much like the Shining, but not as good, although Ryan Reynolds gets better looking in every movie I see him in!

A Midsummer Night's Rave-awful, if you want a cute teen flick based on A Misdummer Night's Dream I highly recommed Get Over It-old, but very cute!

Devour-started out strong, but terrible non-twist ending!

I am waiting on Layer Cake, Stealth and The Skeleton Key!
