It was an okay movie, not too good, not too bad. There were some comical lines by the characaters and definitly suspenseful throughout most of it. GO WATCH IT i give it 8/10

Saw a matinee showing today, and I liked it, good effects, just don't look for plot loopholes cos there are a ton. I thought it could have lost about 20 minutes though.

The effects are pretty good, but other than that there's not much there other than rampant stupidity and dull characters. It's fun to mock (I laughed out loud a number of times when I wasn't supposed to), but it's ultimately a bad movie, sorta feels like a SciFi channel movie. I did have some fun watching it...for the wrong reasons, and it is watchable, but it's just too braindead, standard, and ridiculous to recommend.

It just plainly reminds me of Deep Impact, Independence Day and Armageddon roll into one. Just how I see the movie from the outside. Since I'm not a big fan of last-day-of-your-life-and-do-whatever-you-like kinda movie, giving this movie a huge bye-bye.

Once again in my household my husband and I can never agree what movie we want to see. He is for action movies, me for comedy...so we usually end up compromising and seeing a movie like this. This would not be my first choice to see, but I probably will see it eventually... but I would rather go to the new Harry Potter movie !

I actually liked this movie. I mean, I wasn't getting too into the family aspects and all that, but I did care for the characters. The effects were pretty tight. I really liked the tornadoes...and the formation of the super-cells. I hated that vice president! :phhht

I can't wait to see this. I love end of the world type movies and drool over Dennis Quaid.
