The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers (2002)
Synopsis: Set in a time of uncertainty in the land of Middle-earth, a tale which charts a heroic quest which centers around an intrepid hobbit. The future of civilization rests in the fate of the One Ring, which has been lost for centuries. Powerful forces are unrelenting in their search for it. But fate has placed it in the hands of a young Hobbit named Frodo Baggins, who inherits the Ring and steps into legend. A daunting task lies ahead for Frodo when he becomes the Ringbearer as his assigned duty is to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom where it was forged. But he canít accomplish this task alone. A Fellowship bands together to lend Frodo all that he needs to carry out his mission: the wisdom of Gandalf; the loyalty of his friends Sam, Merry, and Pippin; the courage of Aragorn and Boromir; the precision of Legolas; and the strength of Gimli. They are aided in their quest by Arwen, Galadriel and Elrond, whose knowledge of the Ring brings to light the true danger and importance of their journey.

Why anyone's opening a movie opposite this one is beyond me. Especially Scorsese, who should know better, and the Sandra Bullock movie, too.

This is the one everyone's gonna see this weekend.

This movie is DEFINITELY the one to see and beat, although, the movies opening at the same time will be no competition.

I can't wait to see it!!

My husband saw it last Thursday, a preview showing obviously.

He isn't really into the whole thing so he didn't get much out of it but he said fans will no doubt love it.

It does seem rather pointless to open against this movie.
I can't see anything else even coming close to the sales this movie will make.

Even if you don't want to see this movie you would probably not want to go to the theatre at all so you could avoid the crowds of people that do.

I'll be seeing it this Friday. Considering I've been waiting some 15 odd years for these movies, I wouldn't care if each one was 6 hours long.

I honestly don't think I could watch a movie that was that long in the theatre.
I could at home, but you do need the big screen experience to do justice to this type of epic.
