I agree completely! I'm a huge King fan. But I have to admit, that when my wife asked me if I'd consider getting married at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park (where the remake was filmed, about 20 miles from where I live), I said "I'll get married there if it's an afternoon ceremony and we don't stay overnight in the hotel."

I also saw the 2 parter with Steve Weber and it was truer to the book, except for the very end. However, Jack's crazy face is a classic!
