    The Hot Chick 12/13

    From Hollywood.com

Synopsis: Jessica Spencer, a somewhat mean-spirited teen, is convinced that she has the perfect life. She's the hottest, most popular girl in high school, captain of the cheerleading squad and dating the dreamy quarterback. But she gets a big dose of reality when--due to a spell--she wakes up in the body of a thirty-year-old man. She quickly discovers that trading on your looks isn't so easy when you're a girl who constantly needs a shave. Moreover, until she can figure out how to change herself back, Jessica must find a way to win the "Cheer Competition," go to the prom, and get her boyfriend back--all while she's still a guy. In the process, she learns how shallow her life has been.

I have absolutely no desire to see this movie. But, one thing I've noticed by seeing the trailers that got me thinking. The whole collection of ex-SNL guys that were on the show post-Mike Myers have made movies where cartoonish violence is the modus operandi. Why do they all seem to think it's funny?

The only exception being Will Ferrell, of course. He's hilarious.

Rob Schneider was funny on SNL, but he's been an unmitigated embarrassment since. His movies, in particular, really annoy me.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

I'll see it. Deuce Billalow was awesome! Way better than Will Ferrel's "night at the roxburry".

I actually enjoy all the slap-stick and potty humor.

I won't be watching it. Deuce Bigalow had some funny lines but not enough for me to like the movie. Never saw "night at the Roxbury". Don't care to.

This movie sounds like it probably should have gone straight to video.

Schneider doesn't have the drawing power that somebody like Myers has. Who knows though, the budget was probably cheap, so if can hang around in the top ten for a few weeks it'll probably make money.

    HATE HATE HATE Rob Schneider.

This sounds like one of the dumbest movie premises ever.

I wonder if he enjoys making stupid movies. The last one he made was about a half-man half-animal. Don't remember what it was called.

The Animal. With Colleen Haskell from Survivor in her final big-screen appearance.
