    Worst Remake

I'm sure we all have movies we love and have cringed when they've been remade.

Which original movies have you loved but hated the remake?

haaaaaaaaate the remake. i have the original on tape and i picked up a copy of the new one...thinking, "this should be good...in color and all" but WHAT a disappointment. i sold it to half price books for a dollar.

You know what? That's one of my top choices for worst remake too, how coincidental.

At the very top of my list would have to be the remake of 12 Angry Men - that was a travesty.

There are two that immediately came to mind...

I loved the movie La Femme Nikita, but it's remake Point of No Return uhhhhhhh...no.

I really enjoyed the original Rollerball. The remake? Sorry Chris Klein, you're a cute kid, but you're no James Caan.

Hear, hear, mdrio! Why on earth did they feel the need to remake Thunderball, anyway?! Then you throw a super-old Sean Connery into the same role... *shudder*
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

The remakes of "Psycho" and "The House on Haunted Hill" come to mind...
